Hello all. I am seeking a new dentist but I have a lot of anxiety and trauma around dental stuff and also a lot of chronic pain that gets activated by dental work.

Before consulting with my insurance on who I'm allowed to see, I wanted to ask around and see if anyone had either recommendations or anti-recommendations for dentists who do/don't work well with these types of patients.

If you've got warnings about a dentist or practice, or if you've had really good experience - especially as a trauma survivor and/or chronic pain patient, I'd especially like to hear about it! Thanks so much.
