People who had dysmenorrhea, what was like your first period on mirena ? I am scared
I had severe menstrual cramps since I got my first ever period at 14 yrs old. It lasted 16 yrs, terrible cramps, lot of pills every month, absence from school/ work , even ER for pain shots. Since I gave birth, some magic happen and my period become painless but i still bleed alot and my ferritin level is 10 so I decide to insert mirena. It went well, little pinch and that is all. But every few days i get little spotting like bright red blood in small amount that goes hand by hand with well known painful cramps that lasts maybe 20 min to hour. It is like labor contractions, my period cramps was always as painful as labor contraction. Now i scared as shit and I regret putting mirena because I get rid of this kind of pain just to start experience it again in middle of cycle. And it is not even my period. I expect period in 5 days and I am so scared it will be as painful as it once was. Dont know why this is happening again. Ffs. Do anyone have experince ? Especially if you had dysmenorhhea. Thank you.
