My boss the CEO (Chief Executive Off-loader)
Hi there,
I am seeking advice. In short, my manager scolds me for not hitting my productivity goal every month. He fails to address the fact that I can’t hit my goals because he’s always asking me to help him with projects or to train others. NEITHER of which are apart of my job description. He doesn’t acknowledge all the things I’ve done to help him and keep the team afloat. But he rewards others for the bare minimum… He has stolen my ideas and presented them as his own on multiple occasions. Then acted shocked when I’ve called him out for it. His boss thinks he’s a genius, but it’s been my reports and writing that has helped him. It’s been my training that has mostly helped onboard the new hires. I’ve considered going to HR, but I would be better off talking to a turd. He’s the golden boy at work so he doesn’t get in trouble. I’m burnt out at this point. What would you do if you were me?
