I went in totally blind into Hollow Knight

I know that i am very late to the game (puns intended).
But I remember seeing the hype to Silksong and got curious, bought the physical copy of Hollow Knight on Switch and got started.

At first it didn't last long, maybe only one hour in and found myself not returning to the game for a couple of months.

But during my second visit, I was hooked.

Zero guides and spoilers. And now the game finished... I am at 98% completion. The ending broke me. I didn't want it to end and now I am left with a similar feeling to when I finished watching The Last Airbender.

Looking into maybe getting Silksong. But still on the fence as I remember hearing a lot of criticism about it when it was first released.

But hey - there is more apparently. At 98% I felt comfortable watching a YT video about Hollow Knight as surely there can be no spoilers left, but not only was I wrong, but also I learned that since the original release, there has been a couple of DLCs. And now I am confused as how o add the DLC on a physical Switch copy.

What would you guys recommend? No need to get the last 2% done, and skip the DLCs (if I figure out how to add them on), just get Silksong. Or are the DLCs definitely worth it?

Sorry for the wall of text.
