AITBF for asking a guy to stop taking photos of a stranger who had just fallen?

This was last week and I keep going back and forth on whether I handled it right.

I was at a farmers market near my place, weekend morning, pretty packed. An older woman maybe 70 or so tripped on an uneven bit of pavement near one of the stalls and went down hard. Not like a gentle stumble, she hit the ground and her bag went everywhere. People around her stopped, a few of us went over immediately to help her up and check if she was okay. She was shaken, her knee was scraped and bleeding a bit, she was clearly embarrassed and kept saying she was fine while obviously not being completely fine.

While this was happening I noticed a guy maybe my age standing about three meters away with his phone out, pointed directly at her. Not glancing at his phone, actively filming or photographing. I could see he wasnt calling anyone, the camera app was open.

I walked over and said quietly that maybe he shouldnt be filming her right now. He looked at me like I said something insane and said he wasnt doing anything wrong and that we were in a public space. I said I understood that but she was on the ground and clearly distressed and it felt off. He said "its literally a public market, relax" and turned slightly away but kept his phone up.

I said it one more time, something like can you just give her a second. He got annoyed and said I had no right to tell him what to do and that I should worry about myself. A woman nearby nodded at me but nobody else said anything. He eventually walked off but made a point of sighing loudly about it.

The older woman was okay, someone helped her to a bench. She didnt seem to notice the guy with the phone.

I dont think I screamed at him or made a scene. But my friend who was with me said I shouldnt have engaged at all and that it wasnt my business. AITBF?
