Digital Rear View Mirror Experience?

I have a 2023 C40 Recharge and just got a notice from Volvo about getting the digital rear view mirror installed for $495 (I’m in Chicago.) Does anyone have experience with this? Glitches to look out for? My C40 has the small rear window and this would be a big plus.

Back of my 2023 C40. I really like this design-makes it standout. When did this backend design start and when did it end? Ones newer than mine have the boring backend that looks like every other compact SUV. Anyone know why they changed it?
