Thule Wingbar Evo roof rack question for skoda
Hello skoda community.
I will be joining the skoda family very soon and need roof racks. I see that for my skoda many are using the Thule Wingbar Evo and have a question to you.
How does it secure what is on the roof rack? As far as I can see, the roof rack lock secures the bar to the car. But I do not see it securing what is on the bar.
I currently have a ford and ford's OEM roof racks have a giant black bracket, that covers how the bar is mounted on the car and the bar opening (where the rubber part is, that you take out to put your thing on top).
The Thule wingbar EDGE has the same principle - the plastic cover with the key also covers the bar opening. But I don't get how this works for the Wingbar Evo? My ski rack for example is just slid in and then you fasten it with a screw, so if you can open the side of the bar, you can unskrew it and pull it out with skis attached if you wish.
