Inherited a Machine with No Bleach Dispenser!
Bought a house that came with an LG front load washer of unknown age. It was pretty musty so I did a bunch of cleaning cycles and scrubbed out every cranny with bleach spray. I did a citric acid cleaning cycle last week and there was a very minimal amount of bubbles so I feel pretty confident that I cleaned the machine pretty well.
Here’s the real issue. I’m a gal who likes washing sheets and towels with bleach. All my towels and sheets are white so I don’t have to worry about discoloration. I was raised to associate bleach with disinfection, whitening, and “clean” bedding and towels. This machine is driving me nuts because there is no liquid bleach compartment! I’ve tried putting it in the softener compartment but then I have to do two rinse and spins afterwards. Am I doomed to not be able to use bleach until I replace this washer?!? What are my alternatives?
