Shoe inners switched colour
This isn’t a biggie, but it happened today and it’s bothering me. I like to wear TUK cat shoes; black shoes with cat faces on them. A while back, I ordered a pair on eBay as the person selling them said they were new, undamaged and unworn - just too small for them. When they arrived, I opened them and it was clear they had actually ripped out the insoles, revealing a royal blue bottom layer where someone had written numbers on them.
I was able to get a refund and basically get free shoes, as the person didn’t accept returns. I tried various things to make them wearable but the exposed stitching kept stabbing me in front of my toes. Left ‘em a while, but had an idea I’d take them and an older pair to a cobbler to get the insoles switched over. But when I pulled them out from the rack, the colour of the insides were no longer blue… they were (ARE) baby pink. Looked back at the images I sent to eBay - also baby pink!
I remember so strongly that they were a strong royal blue. The images of them being blue are in my head. I look at the pink and it just looks so wrong. Did I switch universes? Am I just going crazy?
Now they’re covered up and black with the insole layer on top, but if I look under them again, could they have changed back to blue? Or become another colour entirely?
