Could a region-free BIOS mod cause instability with GDEMU and DreamPSU?

First, thanks to those who helped me resolve the doubt about the chip inside my Dreamcast, now I know it's a free region BIOS mod.

I bought that Dreamcast about a year ago without knowing it had that modification, and I bought the GDEMU for it. At first, I used the original PSU, but the games tended to crash. Then I heard about the DreamPSU and ordered one, installed it, and everything was perfect. I could play for hours and days on end. After that, I moved and didn't use the console for a few months, and when I wanted to play it again, the fan made a strange noise, the games crashed, or the fan simply wouldn't turn on, and there was no video.

I had the DreamPSU installed and thought maybe the PSU pins were dirty, so I cleaned them and still had the same problem.

It was when I took it all apart to see if there were any problems that I discovered the BIOS mod. Could this be slowly affecting my Dreamcast with GDEMU and the DreamPSU?

What are these cables???

I just opened my Dreamcast to check that i hadn't damaged the motherboard, but this strange colored wiring appeared and I honestly don't know what it's for or what it's for
