Met this super chill dude that gave me such a big confidence boost
For context, I'm super introverted and barely talk to people, I still do leave my house from time to time to unwind and catch my breath every now and then when I'm doing my work, but today was a rather special day.
As you all know, it is sunday today(Atleast at the time of writing this), and my family forced me to attend a little church meeting primarily consisting of just us and pray together for a bit, getting into it was a bit annoying as I barely pray sometimes, but today just really enlightened me for some reason.
Fast forward to the family session being over and I have to go and buy some groceries, as I'm making my way to the supermarket a guy approaches me and asks me if I'm headed to the super market, I dunno what the hell got into me today, but all my social fear deadass disappeared and I replied positively. He suggested we walk together then and I happily obliged as he just had this cool aura to him.
As we walked, the road was kinda silent and awkward for a bit, and I remember watching a video a while ago on YouTube that told me to not always wait for opportunities in conversations, but be the one to create them. So taking a big leap of faith, I commented on the weather today and sort of lamented on how hot it was today, he replied by stating that he was sweating due to his jacket he was wearing as he had expected it to be cold today(It was misty as hell in the morning and cold too, but the weather is weird as fuck as of right now in SA).
He then mentioned that he had to get up from his Call Of Duty game to head to the supermarket and the moment I heard him mention video games, I immediately locked in and on the way to the supermarket we deadass started nerding out a bit about video games and such and I had a great time talking to him.
After the shopping trip though, we eventually had to split ways and I went back home today feeing far more confident that I ever had in such a long time.
