Affording nyu
I got into nyu for fall of 2026 as a transfer( college of arts and science). I want to major in international studies I am on a pre law track. NYU has been my dream school for like ever ( since middle school) after highschool I went to community college to save money so I would only have to finance my bachelor’s for 2years. As we all know nyu does not give aid to transfers so right now my coa is 93k and if I attend my second year I will not be dorming which will be a lot cheaper . I am still actively applying for outside scholarships and I am working this summer and will also be working during the school year. I also got an offer from Fordham 44k a year with housing so without housing I am paying a lot less. I really don’t know what to do because nyu has been my dream school since middle school I never thought I would get in as a transfer and the fact that I got in is still shocking. I know that some people who are reading this they will be like go to Fordham it’s cheaper. I mean who would not pick that but we are talking about nyu if I don’t go I will forever regret but if I don’t I will also be saving a lot money. For now my parents told me to not decline my offer from nyu yet to see if we can figure something out.
