Genuine question from a gay man

Hoping you guys can read this and imagine if it happened in real life, instead of just taking it at written value.

Say you went to a barber and he gave you a really good cut, was friendly, made conversation or shut up (depending on what you wanted).

He’s also visibly extremely gay. Very effeminate. But again he is barber focused, not a hairstylist.

Would that influence you to NOT see him again?

I am asking because I’m wondering if realistically I’m gonna have to ‘straighten up’ for this or if I can continue to be myself.

You should always just be yourself cause that’s how you bring in clients that love you but if this is going to make it difficult to get clients in the first place then I need to reflect on how I act professionally.

Edit: Thanks guys! I actually expected some hate with this post but I love how supportive you all are. Happy to know I should be okay with being myself

Sakura scissors? Good? Bad?

I am quite literally 2 months into my hair education/journey, and my mom has gifted me a pair of sakura scissors! I’m very grateful because regardless of anything it’s a major step up from the ones my school gave me.

My set is the Kuroko Noir Series 6" and apparently made with Japanese 440C steel.

I can’t find much discussion about them online so I wanted to hear from you guys on if you consider it a good brand, the pros and cons, how often do you sharpen yours, etc etc. I want any and all info!

I am also having an issue though that makes me wary of the company….

My shears are great…But my thinning shears are really messed up…the straight blade is super jagged and I can feel the toothed blade catching and scraping on the straight blade. We have contacted them for a replacement but I wouldn’t think a good company would let that past their quality control

I’m a photographer planning a photoshoot but need to find a decent location. I’m having a hard time tracking one down that isn’t a public facility so I’m wondering if you guys know of any…

I’m looking for a really dingy looking shower or bathroom environment. Think large open room, shower stalls (or large room with many showerheads), full tile floor and walls. I am ideally looking for something that can capture the bathroom from the first Saw movie, but I’m willing to settle for a public bathroom vibe. Does not have to be shower only, can also have a toilet and a sink.

I can’t use a real public facility for hopefully obvious reasons (model safety/cleanliness and public privacy).

Any leads?
