Hey everyone,

First time cruiser here 👋

I currently have an oceanview stateroom(partial or fully obstructed) booked on Norwegian Getaway for a 3-day cruise from Miami, and now I’m debating whether upgrading to a balcony cabin is actually worth spending the extra money.

For people who’ve cruised before:

• Do you really get enough time to enjoy the balcony?
• Or are you mostly out exploring the ship, shows, bars, pool, ports, etc.?
• Did having a balcony make the experience significantly better for you?
• Would you recommend it more for longer cruises vs short 3-day cruises?

Since it’s my first cruise, I’m trying to decide if the upgrade is worth it or if I should save the money and just enjoy everything else on the ship.

Would love to hear honest experiences from people who’ve done both oceanview and balcony cabins.
