Hi all — looking for some feedback on a BC + Rockies itinerary
Hey all — looking for a sanity check on our Canada itinerary 🇨🇦
We’re coming from Australia (late May → late June) 2027, first time in Canada, and trying to balance scenery + good pacing without overloading it.
Plan is Vancouver Island + Rockies road trip + Alaska cruise.
VANCOUVER ISLAND (5 DAYS)
Day 1: Arrive Vancouver (easy day)
Day 2: Walk-on ferry to Victoria Explore harbour (1 night)
Day 3: Drive Victoria → Tofino (Cathedral Grove + coast)
Day 4: Tofino full day (beaches + rainforest)
Day 5: Fly/floatplane Tofino → Vancouver ROAD TRIP
Day 6: Vancouver day Pick up car late
Day 7–8: Whistler (2 nights)
Day 9: Whistler → Lillooet (Duffey Lake Rd)
Day 10: Lillooet → Kamloops
Day 11–12: Clearwater / Wells Gray (2 nights)
Day 13: Clearwater → Valemount
Day 14–16: Jasper (3 nights)
Day 17: Icefields Parkway (overnight)
Day 18–19: Lake Louise (2 nights)
Day 20–21: Banff (2 nights)
Day 22: Banff → Revelstoke
Day 23–24: Kelowna (2 nights)
Day 25: Kelowna → Vancouver (return car)
Day 26: Vancouver buffer day Then Alaska cruise mid-June
A few things we’ve already decided: - Prioritising Tofino (2 nights) over Victoria (1 night) - Doing Vancouver Island before the road trip - Walk-on ferry (no car) + rent car later - Keeping buffer time before cruise
Things I’d love feedback on: - Is the Rockies pacing realistic or too much anywhere? - Are any stops not worth it (Kamloops / Valemount / Revelstoke)? - Is Wells Gray worth 2 nights vs reallocating? - Does Parkway + Lake Louise + Banff split look balanced? - Anything obvious we’re missing? Really appreciate any advice 🙏
