MRSA after Surgery

I had a Panni (with mons lift and BR), brachio, and mastopexy with auto aug on 5/1. I was readmitted on 5/12 for severe anemia. While I was inpatient, I also spiked a fever and my drain culture came back positive for MRSA and pseudomonas. 2 blood transfusions, 5 iron infusions, multiple rounds of IV antibiotics and 2 small hematomas drained, and I’m now home and recovering. My question is… what does the MRSA mean long term? Are their life long health implications? Regular monitoring? Or is this just a treat it and move on with life situation? Who has experienced this?

Is this drain concerning?

Surgery on 5/1 where I had a Panni with Mons lift and BBR, barchioplasty, and mastopexy. I saw my dr’s PA on 5/6 and she seemed a little worried about the right drain looking like it was mostly blood. The left had turned very liquid and orange. They scheduled for me to come back on Monday, 5/11, and left both drains in.

The right drain is still very red and thick, 1 week out from surgery now. It’s draining 50-60ml per day. I have significant bruising around it on my hip now too and don’t have that on the other side.

Left drain is yellow and less than 30ml per day so I expect it will likely come out on Monday.

Is the right drain something I should be worried about?
