Keep pushing for answers!

Got my results from my 3rd MRI and I have a severe herniated disc, causing spinal stenosis. I have little to no pain so everyone was so surprised! My docs were thinking it’s just my scoliosis and type 3 coccyx, causing SI joint pain. Until my coccyx MRI showed the very end of the L5-S1 disc and I went in to get a full lumbar MRI to confirm.

Not to say that my tailbone and scoliosis don’t cause issues with my hips, but it’s been really rewarding to finally get solid answers! I’m very thankful that my team took my pain seriously despite not being high. Pain is not normal no matter what level it is. If something doesn’t feel right, please advocate for yourself and get answers!!

(For context: I have a 19 degree levoscoliosis at my T4 and T5 with a supper minor curve in my lumbar spine. I think it was like a 9°. This causes my hips to be slightly uneven and turned, additionally, my tailbone is bent sharply forward)

Slynd and Stimulant Effectiveness?

I’m about to start my second month of slynd for my PMDD and I’m liking it a lot! However, I have been spotting brown for the last few days which is know is normal especially at the start of birth control. I started spotting at the time I would have started my regular period. But before starting slynd, during my luteal phase, my stimulants (and most of my meds) weren’t as effective. My doctor said this is common bc of the rise in progesterone and me having PMDD.

I decided to go on Birth control to help elevate my PMDD symptoms, but due do having a mutation with my BRCA 2 gene, BCs with estrogen in them aren’t really safe for me. Which led to the choice of Slynd!

It is helping with my PMDD, but I feel as tho my stimulants aren’t as effective, similar to during my luteal phase. Is the Slynd causing like a “perpetual” luteal phase? bc it’s raising my levels of (synthetic) progesterone to stop ovulation, causing my meds to be less effective?

Mostly just wondering if anyone else has had similar symptoms :)
