My view about a vismayam
Although I have seen him on many stages before, I didnt notice him until he became the opposition leader. Till then no congress person had impressed me except PT Thomas and PT Chacko. He had a different style than any other congress leaders. His words carried a definitive weight. It had confidence never seen before in others. He seemed well read and well versed. I got a feeling that this guy seems good. I took up his old interviews and speeches in assembly, again felt yeah pretty good. His answers were top notch and to the point and in full confidence. How about progressivity in speeches? Yeah fair! Saw another 100 interviews. Feeling stays! Is he going to be the next CM? I wish so! I was really impressed! Kerala would have a good time for sure.
His criticism of the previous government, statistical. Good humour sense as well. Most of the ministers found it hard to beat him. I watched the lottery interview. This guy beat a financial expert in finance. Impressive. Things boiled as election was around. This guy issued a clean chit to a political party that has deep connections with international terrorism. When asked about that he blames LDF for supporting it in previous elections. That doesnt sound like a good reason. When asked again about that, he said that party presently dont have any suspicious tie ups or unlawful activities. That sounds really dumb! I smelled appeasement. Appeasement which does not match with a person of this stature. A well read, well versed person cannot do this. In his speeches he claim not to support identity politics of any sort and not appease any religion. He insist everyone to ask questions. When he was asked about this, he just panics. This is not a sign of a well read, well versed person. Such a person if not standing against religion should atleast not try to appease any religion. Instead what does he do? He would conduct a holy mass if allowed to. He would replace the ustad if allowed to. A statement as derogatory as ‘The Prophet found that the Earth is round before science did’ does not suit a man who is well-read and well-versed, who claims to read 40 pages a day, let alone someone who has recited Bible verses.
I dont believe he launched any PR, may be he has, or not. It really hurts to watch certain people who doesnt have any other qualification other than their religious identity, could make people in power to do and say such ridiculous things and acts. Look at this man, it took him over 30-40 years to reach where he have been now. Think about others, they just need to be born in the right religion. Absolute shame! Religion poisons everything
