Its Puppy Day! - After losing our beloved dog, we get his nephew today!

We lost our beloved dog in a sudden accident. Our household was devastated. Our 3 year old slept with him every night. It was a true lost to our family. He truly was the most wonderful dog. Our household felt empty and like a giant hole was missing.

3 days after his passing our dogs brother fathered a litter of puppies. The owner had heard we had lost our dog and reached out and asked if we'd like one of the puppies. It felt like a sign. We know this puppy will be different in his own special way and our family is so excited to pick him up!

Beach Read suggestion for someone on a classic kick

So I’m asking a lot of this request, but I’m hoping all you wonderful book worms might have a suggestion! I’m going on a beach trip in about a month. And I think I’ll have a lot of time for reading. I read lot in everyday life, but there something about wanting to get engrossed in a book on a beach trip. In my mind, an ideal beach read is one that draws you in. Is easy to get into and not overly complex. Normally I’d go with a thriller or fantasy romance.
Which I might still, but I have been on classics kick.
I started with Pride & Prejudice and became OBSESSED. Since then I’ve read Rebecca, Wizard of Oz, Nancy Drew, Emma, and currently on Wuthering Heights and I think I’ll finish Jane Eyre before the trip.
I’m afraid a classic might be a bit require more thought to get into. But since I’m fixated on classics
I wonder if a thriller or fantasy romance I might not enjoy as much.
Sorry for the brain dump. This is a such a minor issue to have but if anyone thinks they have a suggestion, I’d love to hear it!

I am an avid reader. But this year I have been focusing on expanding my horizons and trying to read different genres. One of those is classic literature. Jane Austen has always intimidated me. Because of the old English and I didn't want to attempt it and be a person who didn't enjoy Jane Austen, but I finally read Pride & Prejudice. I am obsessed. I loved it so much, can't stop thinking about it. It was so funny it a way that is unexpected. It was a blueprint for every romance book I've ever read. I know I am preaching to the choir, but I just needed to tell someone, since its on my mind so much.
I don't want to jump right into another one. Because I know my brain hyper fixates then quickly loses that. So I don't want to overdue it and lose its magic. But when I am ready, Emma is my next pick!
