So I've read plenty of advice between the differences and advantages of White, Grey and Black primers. I'm going to do the Space wolf Grey airbrush as a base coat and then go onto using some Speed paints and Goon's Grime as extras, my question is simple. Do any primer brand work for mini painting? I see a lot about colour but never about brands, does it matter or do some primers come out of their cans too thick or chunky to be used for minis with such details?

First and foremost I should start by saying I've only gotten into WH40K The GameTM in the last year or so and that was by buying TOO MUCH pre painted Grey Knights to simply try playing the game with 2 other friends of mine (They do Necrons and Crimson Fists).

Krieg will be the first army I actually build and paint myself and so my question is about Artillery. Because I play casually I'm not too concerned about really min maxing points cost, if anything more points means it allows for easier 2v1s while they can play more units ect

I have 2 ideas, first is using the newer Artillery crews out in the open but behind an Aegis Defence line which should absorb shots because they are out in the open.

the second is simply stack up armoured artillery platforms like Basilisks or bombards (we allow legends because sometimes its quite funny.)

I've heard how bad the Aegis platform is for 145pts and was wondering if anyone has ever actually done this? I understand the critics that hiding behind the wall prevents you from contesting the middle and if you do contest it then why did you bring the wall in the first place but I haven't heard of anyone stacking artillery behind it and how well that actually goes?

And yes you can run like 2 Rogal Dorns for the pts value of Aegis + Artillery crews but this is for the Krieg vibes, I'm just wondering if this viable or if I was gonna drop stuff into the open then armoured vehicles like the Basilisk would be better overall?

I ask the question because I like the idea of doing something unique rather then just yelling SIEGE! and throwing down like 4 Basilisks lmao.

My first Krieg unit is actually going to be a recast Malcador Defender...is 310pts way to much? yes, is it also 7 Heavy bolters in a casemate landship against mostly infantry units in both armies? Also yes >:)
