AITAH: For leaving a get together?
I have had a run in with a groupie of moms. Two of the three of them proceeded to talk crap on my husband and child. I now refuse to associate with them beyond being cordial at biweekly events. I have done everything in my power to keep things cordial and respectful to this point even after they told their children to not speak to me. I do not care what these people think.
We have a mutual friend (who has been trying consistently to get us to make friends again) who had a get together Sunday. That friend was asked several times who was coming and he omitted the group of moms was coming. When they arrived I got really upset with said “friend” for not being truthful and left the get together. My husband now thinks I now am the AH and we should have stayed and just let it progress. AITAH?
