Leh Ladakh in july. Stays/Cab/Packing
Hey everyone,
Me and my husband are heading to Leh Ladakh in the first week of July and I’m honestly a bit confused about a few things 😅
Would love some real experiences from people who’ve been recently there.
🏨 Nubra + Pangong stays
This is my biggest doubt.
Should we:
Pre-book stays in Nubra (Hunder/Diskit) + Pangong OR
Just reach and book on the spot?
We’re okay with flexibility but also don’t want to end up stuck with no decent stay (or crazy prices 😬)
How bad is the availability in July peak season?
🧥 Packing for July – what ACTUALLY is needed?
Every YouTube video says something different.
So confused about:
Do we need proper heavy jackets or just layers?
Is Pangong actually very cold at night in July or manageable?
Any “you’ll regret not packing this” items?
🚗 Cab sharing for Nubra/Pangong
We’re also open to sharing a cab for cost saving.
Just not sure how this works in Leh:
Do people usually find others in hotels/hostels?
Any WhatsApp groups / agents / boards where people connect?
Or is it all fixed packages only?
Basically trying to avoid both: 👉 over-planning
👉 AND getting stuck with bad last-minute options
