Has anyone shipped large area rugs into Amazon FBA?

Amazon Support told us that rugs over 10 lb must be packed in an individual double-wall corrugated box for inbound.

But we purchased rugs from Loloi and Safavieh that were delivered by Amazon in rolled poly bags only, without boxes. Their labels also show Vendor SKU / PO, so they appear to be 1P Vendor products.

Does anyone know:

• Can 3P FBA sellers send large rolled rugs in heavy-duty poly bags?
• Do 1P Vendors have different packaging rules?
• Could Amazon be removing the inbound carton after receiving and then shipping the rug in the poly bag?

Looking for anyone with actual rug / oversized FBA inbound experience. Thanks!
