After prolonged periods and higher doses, does the illness just start ignoring that your being treated? I know that antipsychotics stimulate dopamine, causing the recepters to shut down. But if this process is prolonged and megadrived does it become ill effected to helping any disorder?

I've been on a low dose of medication for a long time. Then went to hospitol. The docter asked what i'm going to do to prevent coming back. Then I proceeded to ask for a high does of antipsychotic and mood stabilizer. I'm on 3 times my highest ever dose and plus high dose mood stabilizer.

My condition was always good on the lower doses. But now I feel I fucked up by asking for a high dose AP. Because I am experiencing symtoms like never before.
