My brother is dealing with a difficult situation with his child’s mother. She tends to start fights with any woman he dates, and what’s most concerning is that their child is often in the car during these incidents. She also frequently argues with our mom and behaves in a very disrespectful, confrontational way. My brother doesn’t want to take the situation to court because he prefers to avoid legal involvement, but the situation keeps escalating. As his sister, it’s frustrating to watch, especially because I’m worried about the child being exposed to all of this. I don’t like the level of disrespect or the constant conflict, but I’m not sure what I can realistically do to help improve the situation without making things worse.
