I just installed this new lawn pump and check valve, same exact model as the old one (Sta-Rite). I had no pressure problems before, but did have an issue with my indexing valve not changing zones which I fixed by cleaning it out. The pump went bad and I installed the new one.
I primed the pump and got low pressure, one zone is ok, the other 2 are pathetic. I noticed on one zone, when I open the spigot, the pressure would be low and then build from the spigot, and the pressure was good in that zone. As soon as I close the spigot, the sprinklers lose pressure again. That symptom is not translating to all the zones. Also the pressure from the spigot is inconsistent, sometimes it’s higher than others and seems to vary by what zone it’s on, sometimes it needs to build, but I do get high pressure from it.
I do notice some minor leaking from the top of the indexing valve. Is my indexing valve causing all these issues? Is my new check valve bad? Not seeing leaks from any new plumbing I did.
