I was watching my son play today, and his high school team is decent. A 3A sized school who plays a 4A schedule (where 4 is the largest designation). Everyone knows the 3 hole hitter on the opposing team. Stupidly strong arm, great catcher, and an absolute stud at the plate. He knows he’s the best, you know he’s the best, and he sure as hell acts like he’s the best. He walks up to the plate the first inning to Ironman by Black Sabbath and has a pre-ab ritual that is just straight intimidating. Literally every fielder took stepped back when he walked up. He took a ball, then hit an absolute nuke. I respect the confidence of this kid, who’s batting like .750 and a lock for Mr. Baseball, and it was cool as hell. Just needed to share this.
