So I’ve been currently pushing a 07 Honda Shadow 750 Spirit (chain drive). Debating on selling it for a HD but unsure which is best. I’ve been riding for about seven months, I’ve sat on a street king, a 883, and a road glide. The road glide seems super heavy. I’m looking to go used regardless of which one I get.

I also don’t mind wrenching on it. Something just feels wrong about riding the jap bike. I feel in my heart the right thing to do is get American iron.

Based on all of y’all’s experience I was hoping you might be able to help point me in the right direction. I mostly do inner city commuting with some highway. Two up with the wife occasionally, and maybe some road trips later this fall. I ride almost everyday.
