Happy 10 year anniversary to Uncharted 4! What a wonderful masterpiece of a game this was! 🥳❤️👏👏👏

Happy 10 year anniversary to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End I can’t believe it’s already been 10 years since this game came out man time sure flies by fast. I still remember how insanely hyped I was for this game because of how much I loved Uncharted and I was really intrigued by how they were gonna end Nathan Drake‘s story. I remember the first time I ever heard of Uncharted was way back in 2011 when I saw a tv spot of Uncharted 3 and it looked so cool that I saw some gameplay afterwards and then I got Uncharted 2 two years later as my first Uncharted game and loved it and went on to get 1, 3, and finally play 4 four years later in 2017 basically completing the franchise 10 years after the first game Drake‘s Fortune which started it all. These games especially 2 and 4 which are my favorites in the franchise were truly and always will be legendary masterpiece and Nathan Drake is one of the best video game protagonists of all time without a doubt and always will be along with Elena, Sully, Chloe, etc.

Back to Uncharted 4, wow just wow what an absolute masterpiece of a game and a wonderful and emotionally satisfying beautiful end to Nathan Drake’s story it was a hard time for me to say goodbye to him and the rest of his supporting cast because of how much they meant to me and after finishing 4 for the first time I definitely cried because it was a beautiful journey I’ve been on in the previous games with Nate and it all ended perfectly in a way I couldn’t have imagined. Seeing Nate and Elena with their daughter Cassie and her being interested to know about her parents’ crazy adventures was so wholesome I loved it so much. Even to this day the game is literally one of the best looking games of all time even better than many of today’s games that’s insane Naughty Dog cooked hard with this game. And ofc the Henry Avery’s pirate treasure mystery adventure setting was so cool especially with how beautiful the islands and jungles of Libertalia looked. And my god the performances in this game? Unbelievably amazing like I really loved the all the cast’s performances in the previous games but in 4 Nolan North’s performance as Nate as well as Emily Rose as Elena, Richard McGonagle as Sully and Troy Baker as Sam Drake and everyone else as their characters had more depth to them where they all felt like real humans and it made me love and care about the characters more. Naughty Dog definitely beautifully stepped up with the character development in this game after TLOU 1 which is another masterpiece of a game.

I really loved what Amy Hennig did with the first 3 games especially when she created the franchise and characters we love so when she left and Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley took over for Uncharted 4, I had hope because what they did on TLOU1 was phenomenal and I was right because they did an amazing job on Uncharted 4 making it feel like what Amy established with the franchise but at the same time taking some big swings and giving more human depth to the characters and story like it really felt like a high quality HBO show which I loved.

Overall, happy Uncharted 4 day my fellow explorers let’s all celebrate 10 years of this magnificent game and cheers to the most emotionally satisfying perfect end to our hero Nathan Drake’s story! Sic Parvis Magna. 🥂🥂🥂🍻🍻

I personally believe that if Microsoft are very serious about trying to make Xbox a serious gaming platform again, I believe they need to call their next console something simple and very nostalgic so that it feels like a return to form for Xbox fans and a redemption for the brand. I think it’d be super cool if they basically just called it The Xbox or even just simply Xbox just like the original 2001 console as it’ll be like a much needed reboot for Xbox while thriving on nostalgia. I think it’s better than calling it Xbox 720 or Series H etc. What do you guys think that they should call the new Xbox?

So ofc we all saw just recently how they announced that The Mummy 4‘s release date has now been moved up by Universal to October 15, 2027 during Halloween season rather than the original May 19, 2028 date because it switched dates with Miami Vice ‘85. I also did see some online discourse on other subs and even this one on how some people understandably think that what if this movie gets very rushed because its release date has now been moved up and if they stayed in May 2028, they would’ve had more time to make the movie.

The thing is while I completely understand those concerns from many fans especially when we all just a good fun movie featuring the return of Brendan and Rachel as Rick and Evie and we all want it to the best homecoming movie ever for them as well as a really good movie, at the same time I believe its all gonna be ok and there’s nothing to worry about because with them shooting in August this year and Radio Silence wanting to focus on practical effects over a lot of CGI, they’ll have plenty of time to make sure the movie is good and ready to release next October in good quality.

I feel like the release date got moved up because Universal is very confident in this movie and I think Radio Silence realized the movie is far more ready to go into production than they initially thought and they don’t need until 2028 to make sure it’s a good quality movie. I highly doubt it’ll be a JW Rebirth situation where Universal moved up the release date for that movie and it ended up being an ok movie. Also, I trust Brendan and Rachel especially Brendan because he’s an executive producer on this movie and I doubt he’d wanna do this movie just for a paycheck because he comes off as a genuinely great guy who said he’s doing this new movie for the fans and I don’t think he’d let this movie be rushed because its his and Rachel’s big comeback movie returning as one of their most beloved iconic pairs in cinema.

But back to Radio Silence, they’ve made fun entertaining movies imo and they’ve even made two great Scream movies released back to back in two years and they have a good sensibility for this legacy sequel because just like Brendan they also wanna make a fun movie that respects what came before while also doing something new but keeping it special and making Brendan and Rachel the leads again with no torch passing. I feel like this movie while I would’ve loved to see it release in May 2028 because this franchise always felt like the summer blockbuster type and because the original two movies were released in May back then, I feel like this new Mummy being released in October next year during Halloween could actually give this a big boost especially at the BO because this movie might have more spooky elements which might be one of the big swings Radio Silence have said they wanted to do with this movie but also making it fun and entertaining.

Overall, I’m not worried about the release date being moved up and I wholeheartedly believe that we’re getting an awesome movie where Rick and Evie are kickass main definitive characters again in a Mummy movie next year. I believe it’ll definitely have the Stephen Sommers DNA mixed with Radio Silence’s style so its a good balance. This is me being very optimistic and hopeful about this movie being great but what do you guys think?
