So I am starting a job at Children’s and am very unfamiliar with the setup of downtown BHAM.

I was planning to go to UAB rec center as my gym, but I am trying to figure out if that logistically makes sense with my mornings before work — I don’t believe there is free parking for the rec center and can’t quite figure out how far it would be from my parking for work because I’m also unsure of how staff parking at Children’s works.

Should I pick a different gym (Mountain Brook YMCA or Vestavia PF) because it would be more convenient? Or does anyone have any thoughts or advice? Thank you!

Hi! I'm moving to Birmingham soon, (Homewood area) and I am wanting a good place to workout. I have seen lots of different group fitness studios, but I don't know about any gyms. Does anyone have any recommendations or thoughts on where to go/what classes to join?
