I've gotten conflicting answers while searching. My garage is a 2 door garage. I was wondering if it's possible to remove the torsion spring, the motor and the overhead tracks for a year or more and leave the doors permanently down during that period. During this period no one will be opening the door or need to open the door

I'm not looking on removing them myself, I will hire someone, need to know if it's feasible first and what to ask for. If anything extra is necessary.
