Is Wattpad still a safe/good place for beginner writers? I genuinely want to start writing :(
Hi! I really want to start writing and sharing my works online, but honestly I’m a little scared and overwhelmed. I’ve been thinking about using Wattpad since it seems beginner-friendly, but I keep hearing mixed opinions about the community, plagiarism issues, and how hard it is to actually connect with readers or fellow writers.
For writers here, do you think Wattpad is still a healthy/safe place to grow as a writer and make friends? How do people even build connections there naturally?
For readers, how do you discover the works of beginner in writing?
And if not Wattpad, are there other platforms you’d genuinely recommend for someone who wants to write emotional/literary stories and hopefully find a good community too?
