Looking for a mentor in Data Analytics.

LOOKING FOR FREE GUIDANCE

I’m 35F with a BTech background, but I never really worked in the tech field. I was in sales for a brief period, and now I genuinely want to transition into Data Analytics.

I’ve started learning on my own and currently know:

  • Excel (comfortable with basics/intermediate stuff)
  • Basic SQL
  • Basic Python

I’m still very much a beginner and don’t claim to know everything.

What I’m really looking for is someone experienced in the field who can guide me step by step. Not daily teaching, but more like:

  • “Start with this playlist”
  • “Now do this project”
  • “Learn this next”
  • “Fix this in your resume”
  • “Apply here”
  • “Your fundamentals are weak here, improve this”

Basically someone who can provide direction and roadmap clarity because right now the internet has TOO much information and I feel lost trying to figure out the correct path.

I just need proper guidance.

Would really appreciate any mentor, guidance, roadmap suggestions, or even honest advice from people already working in Data Analytics.

I don’t want anyone to teach me anything or explain things right now.

Just tell me:

  1. Complete this playlist
  2. Then do this project
  3. Then move to next step

My only goal is to follow a clear path and land a low-paying internship within 6 months.

I don’t want theory, I just want a step-by-step execution plan that I can follow without confusion.

Thank you.

35F with BTech background looking to transition into Data Analytics — need guidance/mentorship

LOOKING FOR A MENTOR

Hi everyone,

I’m 35F with a BTech background, but I never really worked in the tech field. I was in sales for a brief period, and now I genuinely want to transition into Data Analytics.

I’ve started learning on my own and currently know:

  • Basic SQL
  • Basic Python

I’m still very much a beginner and don’t claim to know everything.

What I’m really looking for is someone experienced in the field who can guide me step by step. Not necessarily daily teaching, but more like:

  • “Start with this playlist”
  • “Now do this project”
  • “Learn this next”
  • “Fix this in your resume”
  • “Apply here”
  • “Your fundamentals are weak here, improve this”

Basically someone who can provide direction and roadmap clarity because right now the internet has TOO much information and I feel lost trying to figure out the correct path.

I’m willing to put in the work no matter how hard it gets. If someone tells me what to do, I’ll get it done somehow. I just need proper guidance and accountability from someone who has already been through this path.

Would really appreciate any mentor, guidance, roadmap suggestions, or even honest advice from people already working in Data Analytics.

Thank you.

Hi everyone,

I’m a 33F with a technical background, though I didn’t pursue a career in the field and have been working in a different domain (currently in a sales internship).

I’m now committed to transitioning into AI/ML (data science / machine learning roles).

My goal is to become job-ready within the next 6 months. I’m open to short-term internships, projects, or even unpaid/low-paid opportunities initially to gain real experience, with the aim of moving into a paid entry-level role soon after.

I’m looking for a mentor who can guide me on:

  • Structuring a focused learning roadmap for the next 6 months
  • Building a strong, job-ready portfolio
  • Understanding what actually matters for getting hired

I’ll respect your time, come prepared, and consistently apply feedback.Thank you!
