Hi. My GP recently agreed to Shared Care, and sent my ADHD medication prescription request to my local, national-chain pharmacy on the 17th May.
I received a text message from the pharmacy on the 22nd April, saying:
"UPDATE! Hi xxxx, your prescription is partially ready, if you require an item urgently, please visit us, otherwise please wait for a further text"
After waiting and waiting, but receiving no text, I finally went into the pharmacy on Friday 1st May. Turns out my full prescription was ready to collect - I just hadn't been notified.
But I'm unsure when I can request my next prescription? The NHS app says I can request it from the 15th May - 4 weeks from when I last requested it.
But taking into account that I only collected my medication on the 1st of May, will I run into problems, or raise suspicions, if I request my next medication on the 15th - just 15 days after collection of meds?
Luckily, this time, I still had enough medication in reserve from titration to keep me going through this long wait. But if this kind of delay between prescription and the meds being available for collection keeps happening, I run the risk of running out and being unmedicated...
What's the correct thing for me to do?
