in this arc if Kinta’s haircut transformation would also mean him being transformed into a “good-looking guy” AKA him losing some weight as a joke. i think his barber looks stupid enough to do that.

or if somewhere along he’ll have a regular “cool” version. similar to those characters who can regularly transform their body mass so instantly. only thought of it because there’s so much more pressure in Japan to conform and be thin. also hate to say but Kinta is like the token fat character in this series, and in a high school anime setting, they’re like the butt of instant weight loss gag, not all of course but i’ve seen it.
