Hello, apologies, I am quite stressed and I’m trying to understand this entire process a bit better - Im aware I could call to talk to someone BUT I’m shocking at being able to absorb what someone is saying to me, it’s far easier for me to read to be able to understand. Stupid brain
I have two main questions I would really appreciate some guidance on!
So, I’m out of work, have been for a while. Partnered. I’m trying to understand how applying for jobseeker works in terms of being in a relo.
I’ve read the threshold to partners income is $2664 pre tax a fortnight - my partner is under that. However, I’ve also read it’s not that’s, it’s $1440 a fortnight? And that people have been rejected for their partner earning $750 a week. My partner earns just over that.
Does anyone know what the actual cut off is?
My second question is -
How is his income measured when I apply? Do they look at his income over the past 3 month as they do mine, or is it based off his tax return or his past fortnight of work?
Thank you so so so much for any help! I am super stressed 🥴
