What is the single most important change that can move the needle?
Yes, there are loads of reasons.
But if you were to pick just ONE.
For me, it’s bringing a cultural shift towards marriages in mid-twenties.
Let people grow and struggle through financial instability together, rather than “get settled first”. It’s so important to have grown together.
I might even be dragged through the comments for this. But this is how it has always been.
If you make it to 25 without getting married/ without prospects on the horizon, you fall into this inertia which is very difficult to shake off.
We need to make marriages a social urgency again. Casual dating culture needs to be discouraged. Relationships and sex need to be treated like serious business/ major and necessary life decisions. Media/ films/ TV/ pop culture need to nudge people towards it. Society needs to create a soft pressure for it.
