Regimental Standard Proxy - Mercenary Ideas

Good evening!!

Working on my first ever 40k army and it's been going well with modelling, using my favourite tropes in media of mercenaries/bounty hunters I've decided to theme my army around well... being mercenaries.

I had an initial idea of swapping out the 'regimental standard' in the Cadian Command Squad for a capsule of credits/currency to provide 'moral support' - but I'd love to hear your ideas about what you've done with the standard in creative ways!

Hello all!

My friends have invited me to join them for a 500-point game, now I've never played 40k beyond a single match of Kill Team (I some reason own 7 Kill Teams)

Someone swooped up marines so my Raptor dream is dead, but Guard has always fascinated me since I saw the Heavy Weapons Team (and fell in love)

I guess the general suggestion is play, learn and I'll figure it out, but I'd love some foundational tips for building something for 500 points.

I love the look of Tempestus Scions and as mentioned above, the Heavy Weapons Squad if they fit.

Thankyou!
