Any tips on teaching settling outside of crate?

Hi Everyone!

Meet Honey 🍯 the sweetest 5 month old golden who we got at 4 months so we’ve had her for a month now. She is totally awesome and incredibly intelligent motivated by food of course. The only problem I am having is she rarely sleeps outside of the crate as she can never seem to settle down and follows us around everywhere unless I tell her place but she is still attentive. I have been teaching her “relax” and can get her to do about 10 minutes of laying down head down which I think will eventually lead to sleep.

I would much rather have her out and nap during the day as I work from home but if I don’t enforce her naps she will stay up and get nippy.

Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! I spend a ton of time training her so I am willing to try anything to give her more freedom around the house. She also is teething so there’s that to keep in mind.

Help With Golden Retriever Eating Mushrooms!

I have just gotten a 4 month old Golden Retriever 3 weeks ago and she is so sweet, a little skittish at times and very food motivated so very easy to train and acclimates quickly even when scared. But I have one problem I just moved to a new place and the backyard has tons of false parisol mushrooms which are not deadly but can cause upset stomach on both ends if you get my drift.

I was contemplating training her to alert me of them but I worry that she will just have more interest as she is already sniffing them out but is keen to dropping them quickly as I have been teaching her drop it. I worry for her to get sick I would hate that. I go out and pick them but some grow below the grass and are hard to spot without a nose like Honey 🍯 (that’s her name).

Any tips? Also any tips on how I would approach training her to alert me of the mushrooms? Or is this a bad idea lol. I do think about training her for morels in the future but not sure if they are even in my area.

Thanks in advance!
