I really a need a mentor guidance regarding career in UAE

Hey everyone, posting here because I genuinely need some guidance and I think this community might have people who’ve been through something similar.

Quick background about me:

I grew up in Abu Dhabi, did my schooling here up to class 10, then went back to home country for college and university. Graduated with a BBA in Tourism & Hospitality Management from the University of Dhaka — one of the top universities in Bangladesh. So I have that mix of UAE upbringing and South Asian education.

Work-wise, I’ve been working at an e-commerce agency where I managed multiple online stores and actually grew their sales significantly. On top of that I recently completed a Business Intelligence & Analytics bootcamp so I now have hands-on skills in Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel, and SQL. I enjoy working with data and finding patterns that help businesses make better decisions.

Here’s where I’m stuck though. I’m back in the UAE now and honestly not sure what the smartest next move is for building a solid long-term career here. Should I lean into the data analytics path? Stay in e-commerce? Pivot somewhere else entirely?

I also have a strong interest in starting a business here in the UAE one day but right now I don’t have the capital for it, so I’m trying to build smart and get there eventually.

If anyone has been in a similar position or has experience in the UAE job market and career building I’d really appreciate any advice, mentorship, or even just a conversation. Open to any suggestions honestly.

Thanks in advance

Looking for a BI or Data Analyst role in the UAE. I recently completed a Business Intelligence & Data Analytics certification covering Excel, Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and Python.

During the course, I built real dashboards pulling data through Power Query, wrote SQL queries to extract and segment customer data, and created automated reporting workflows that cut manual Excel work significantly. I understand data transformation, visualization, and how to turn raw data into actionable insights.

I have 3 years of commercial experience where I’ve tracked and reported on business metrics — 45% sales growth and 75% traffic increase — so I know how data drives decisions in real business scenarios.

I’m on a UAE Employment Visa with NOC, immediate joiner, no sponsorship needed. Languages: English, Arabic, Bengali, Urdu.

Open to Data Analyst, Business Analyst, BI Developer, or Analytics roles.

Happy to share CV and portfolio. Leads and referrals appreciated.

Looking to move into software or CRM sales in the UAE.

I enjoy consultative selling — understanding what a business actually needs and matching the right solution to it. Software and CRM sales feels like a natural fit for my background because I’ve been on the customer side. I’ve used data tools, e-commerce platforms, and digital systems to drive real business results — 45% sales growth, 70% revenue spikes — so I can have honest, knowledgeable conversations with prospects rather than just pitching blindly.

I’m also BI & Data Analytics certified covering Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python, which means I can communicate comfortably with technical buyers and decision makers.

Languages: English, Arabic, Bengali, Urdu — which helps a lot when dealing with the diverse client base here in the UAE.

UAE Employment Visa with NOC, immediate joiner, no sponsorship needed.

Open to Sales Executive, Business Development, Account Executive, or Junior Sales roles in SaaS, CRM, ERP, or B2B software. Open to salary plus commission structure.

Happy to share CV and have a conversation.
