discord account banned for server i was uninvolved in
2:06 AM - All of my accounts, including my discord account which I've been using for 5 years and has multiple DMs with over 50k messages and one with 300k have been permanently banned for staying in a server flagged for graphic and violent content. This is a server that I:
- haven't been active in for over 5 years
- clearly remember not having participated nor wanting to send or see said content in this server
- and was barely active in.
My standing was completely clean and suddenly for minimal participation it was put at the worst level of suspension.
I don't even know what had been going on in the server as I had never looked anywhere in it other than the general chat to post a few messages; in the span of me being there I think I only sent thirty. It was indeed an edgy community but for the reason the server was flagged I see myself having nothing to do with any of it. The problem is that they'd probably banned everyone who had sent messages in that server in fear of them being involved in what they did. I have so much activity that completely overshadows whatever this server did and I'm just so angry.
What's my best chance of getting my discord account back? It's probably one of the largest vaults of my memories and it's a huge pain seeing it suddenly be gone one day. :(
I've sent an appeal to discord already. I just hope it works. I know this subreddit probably has many people with the same issue but I'd like to see some newer info about newer discord support and this situation specifically.
