I'm co-coaching a recreation baseball league team of eight-and-under kids. I'm looking for a 60-minute practice plan that involves about four rotating stations for drills. It's a coach-pitch league. We have one practice and one game per week. The kids have widely varying skill levels and knowlege of the game.

I plan to start off each practice with a dynamic warm up routine and then playing catch. I plan to end with a little bit of game simulation. What should I do in between? There are two other co-coaches and parents who can run stations, but I may need to adapt if there's only one or two coaches at a given practice.

What's the perfect practice plan? What are the best drills? What should I avoid altogether? Most importantly, what are a couple of silly/fun activities to do spontaneously when the kids get board with it all?

Keep in mind this is recreation baseball. I want all of the kids to have fun. And...I want to prepare them to play at the next level if they want to. I've coached other youth sports and activities, but this is my first time coaching youth baseball. Thanks for your suggestions!

Edit for clarification: Our Week 1 has the first practice AND the first game, so we have to jump right into things—that's rec ball for ya! 😄
