I’m looking to get my dad a nice set of towers to upgrade his current system which is not that great. I bought some Elac F6.2, but they came damaged. I did test them out with my equipment RME DAC, wiim ultra and Parasound A23 and I think they sound great, but I’m going to return them because of the cabinet damage.

I have the option to get the Debut F5 first gen for $250 or get replacement F6.2 for $600. I am not sure the F6.2 are worth double the price tag? I have not heard the gen one debuts, but I doubt they are that much worse. My dad listens to lower grade quality music which I find has a lot of sibilance which can be fatiguing so I think the F5s with the warmer sound might fair him a bit better. However if I got F6.2, I’m sure I can tame it with some EQ as well. He does have a KEF sub already that I bought him.

He already has a power amp. I will be connecting the speakers to the Fiio K11 and Wiim pro plus. Thoughts?

Any advice to stop the stuttering and lag? I have put it in low performance mode, set resolution to 1080 and even 720, turned off any graphic related settings and the game is super laggy. I appreciate the devs on this so not complaining just looking to see if I missed a setting somewhere? It's pretty much unplayable right now which is a bummer since I've gotten all RB DLC setup drums.
