First Ever 4 Digit Dividend Hits Different

First Ever 4 Digit Dividend Hits Different

Damn, receiving my first ever 4 digit dividend feels so freaking euphoric

For context, my very first dividend was 1.5 rupees from DCR last quarter 😂

I'm all in on dividend investing

Am I Cooked?

Many people I spoke with have received the email confirmation for fee submission but I still haven't until now.

But I checked the portal later & it says fee submitted but no email yet. Also received the confirmation text the same day.

Should I be worried or it's normal to receive the email after the due date?

Car For 120kms Commute OR Invest in PSX

Hi, I'm a 19M who's about to inherit around 1m worth of 22Karat gold.

Monthly income is 25K & expected to increase in coming months. Have about 100K ish in stocks at the moment

I'm at a crossroads right now, stuck between 2 choices.

1 - Putting a down payment on a used alto & financing the rest for 2-3 years. I'll be using this vehicle for commuting to university with a daily travel would be about 120 kms.

I plan on covering the monthly installment & fuel cost will be covered with a monthly income & carpooling service for 2-3 people. There's a big community of carpooling I'm in so finding customers is not really an issue

2- Put the million in blue chip dividend paying companies & invest the dividend every quarter.

If I go with this option, I'll have to take a bus from my residence for half distance then take a bike to my uni & vice versa.

One thing I know for sure, this path would be extremely exhausting & will waste my time I could be spending on working part time & learning

My parents are insisting on me getting a car as travelling on bike is not safe due to traffic & law and order situation in Karachi

Need advice & opinions on what I should potentially do in this situation

Tl;dr 19 male, inheriting 1m worth of gold. The daily commute to uni is 120kms both ways, should I get a car OR invest all the capital in stocks. Covering the fuel cost & installment is not a big of a problem

Is Business Analytics Really Worth It?

I'm weighing my options & have BSBA from FAST karachi as one of my choices. My plan is to aggressively focus on skills & land a role in my field to keep gaining experience along with my degree.

My goal is to get into data analytics, BI, data engineering domain

In the back of my mind I also have the desire of doing my masters abroad so to me CGPA matters. Is it recommended for someone like me to go to FAST or should I avoid. Wanting some advice from seniors who have been in the same boat as I am

My options for BSBA are FAST, IOBM & BAHRIA

19M Dividend Investment Strategy Review

Hey, I'm 19M currently a uni student & my strategy is to invest in blue chip dividend paying companies & reinvest the dividends for 10+ years

My portfolio has these highest conviction picks based on my research:

FFC - 30%

MEBL - 25%

HUBC - 25%

FABL - 20%

I've been putting 90% of whatever personal savings I make & pocket money into these 4 stocks for the past 6 months

My family sometimes makes me feel guilty for being too frugal & being investment oriented but Im just addicted to accumulating stocks

Goal is to build a solid portfolio that pays me strong cash flow & build wealth years later while I focus on my skills & career in the process

I don't have an active stream of income as of now but I'm focusing mainly on solving that

Pls need some reviews & advice on my portfolio or anything in general. Thanks

Option A or B?

Hey, I'm interested in doing BS business analytics but kinda confused about the uni I should for in karachi.

I'm from A levels background & plan is to get into data analytics & engineering eventually. Looking for a uni where I have max time possible to work on my skills, projects & networking etc & work on side hustle part time

I have narrowed my options to bahria & iobm. IOBM is 20kms & Bahria is 10kms away from my home & I'll be commuting on bike if that counts

Need advice from experienced folks or someone who has been in the same boat as me. Thanks
