Hey all, for starters: I have a 2018 Honda Accord LX. Not the best trim/engine I realize, however, I like the car and want to do as much as I can to preserve it and doing preventative maintenance. There are some things that I figure might help. Obvious things like making sure my oil is changed religiously to reduce chances of the head gasket failure happening sooner than later (but inevitable I realize) as well as religiously changing the transmission fluid every so often (I believe it's every 30k mi?).
Although, I'm curious... What causes the fuel injectors to fail? Is it them getting clogged? If so, are there actual good fuel additives that help clean them out? Or is it something involving the hardware itself?
