Just got this 2006 GT, only 26k miles and very clean overall. However prior owner added a non-functional hood scoop and did a bad job. The scoop is separating a bit and the 2-sided tape is turning white. Looks like he painted over it but that did not work clearly. Body shops quoting me 3k plus to repaint the entire hood, and I’m not going to do that. I don’t really care about the scoop one way or the other but I figure if I take it off the problem will be worse. Thoughts on a diy fix?
