How to give OCs a story when their original story was scrapped?

I’ve had my head wrapped around this question for a while now since I don’t really like having characters that don’t have a story. Basically I have this story I created back in middle school which I later abandoned as I had a ton of more ideas and different stories I wanted to work on. Now much later, I wanna pick it up again for fun. The only problem is, I don’t have a story, only my characters.

You see, the reason I abandoned the story in the first place was because it was getting hard to develop (mainly due to being about time travel) I thought it had a simple premise, which I realized how wrong I was when I actually began to work on my story. It was if men in black met Loki essentially. An undercover force made to protect and control anomalies across time. With my main characters being two people working in the force and the other three being fugitives. I thought it was pretty interesting but again I found it pretty hard.

I really want to keep my characters but since I abandoned my original story, I kinda have no clue what to do now.

I do really want to keep a sorta immortal/mystical element to the story. Maybe take inspiration from Good Omens since to me had the most reasonable experience of going through time.

I mainly just want advice and maybe some suggestions. Should I keep writing with what I originally had or should I just come up with a new story completely? I’d appreciate anyone’s thoughts.

Hello! I’m currently cleaning out my entire wardrobe and I wanna start wearing more clothes that feels more like me. I’ve always been the “fashionista” of my friend group and family, but I’ve never truly felt like myself, like I’ve been just adhering basic fashion styles. Now that I’m an adult I wanna try dressing more like how I feel on the inside. I’ve always been a big fan of J-Fashion and I wanna see where I can get outfits and clothes as a first timer. I really like Lolita and Decora styles (Mainly Yami-Kawaii and Hime) but I’m not afraid to try out other styles. I like a nostalgic feeling and have been a big fan of Weirdcore/dreamcore aesthetics. If there’s brands or places I can go that sell these types of styles for a good price I’ll be forever grateful! Any tips will be greatly appreciated too!
