Hi hello!

New to this sub and reddit! Been commenting here and there so i thought it's only fair if the person giving advice also shows off their own looks/coords!

I'm mainly into jirai, ryousangata, subcul, old school and gothic egl & everything with magical girl or succubus vibes~

(First pic shows a coord from a horrible brand! Uninformed purchase from my side, so excuse me not sharing details)

I'm confused on what's appropriate to wear and what to call kawaii fashion

I've been seeing posts on multiple social media pages that "cute core" is Americanizing Kawaii fashion, I don't have any say on what's right and wrong about this since I'm white and European. I love wearing Cute J fashion and I love loveee pink stuff, I've been thinking of stepping over to pastel goth since also, Ageplayers are ruining this type of fashion (not completely, it's just annoying that people keep calling me an ageplayers as someone who's still a minor and NOT an ageplayer.)

So, what do I call the clothing style that most people call kawaii fashion, Jojifuku, cutecore (I'm not a fan of cutegore).

I have learned about the history of kawaii fashion in certain museums.

Sorry if this information is kinda scattered and messy, I didn't really know how to put this in words

Complete beginner, need style knowledge!

Hey all, I'm new (literally like 2 days) and i need some advice/suggestions! :D

So to preface, I know literally NOTHING abt the subculture so far. I'm in the punk subculture (which is mostly politics and music, but i also do dress stereotypically punk)

But I have a love for the sorta cute creepy look/style? I don't even know what it's called. I'll attach some photos of the sorta thing im talking about, but if anyone could give me an overview of the main/even a few types of j fashion/subcultures, that would be SO helpful. The only words ive found so far are cutegore, creepy cute and landmine. Im sorta talking about like singing about dark things in a really upbeat way, like the song cubism. The only way I can think to describe it is like rainbow jirai? Or almost like a pastel medical aesthetic? Idk im interested in it all really. Like what's the aesthetic where they add random blurs and creepy images? There are SO MANY and I dont even know where to start lol.

I'm probably not gonna dress in j fashion, but i think I'll start wearing makeup.

If anyone can describe these styles, talk about the subculture, even recommended music, I would appreciate it so much!! Sorry if this is rambly or doesn't make much sense lolz.

Thank you!

(Also some of these styles are completely different, srry, I like them all but i dont know the name of any T_T) and these are all just from Pinterest

Opinion on this top ? 🩷

I’ve been thinking about this Liz Lisa top ever since it make out but I’ve never seen anyone unbox it or wear it outside of the promo pics, any opinions ? Would the shape be awkward? I’m honestly debating on getting it because I’ve seen nobody in it yet 🥲

Is there a Saville Row of Japan?

I'm going to travel to Japan and I understand Japan is the home of many bespoke/formal/artisan otaku. It is sort of similar to the United Kingdom's production of high quality goods. Is there any place that has a lot of specialty or formal clothing and item shops? Thanks.

cyber brands to trust

recently i have gotten back into the rave/edm scene and want to be more creative with my fits. i find that a lot of western brands tend to cater to the “less clothes/punk/fetisthwear” looks for things but I want to lean more into cyber wears and futuristic motifs. Is anyone privy to Japanese brand (or brands from all over idc) that cater to that imagery?

Lost my sole and where are my Buff-Lolita? (Last slide)

First sorry for my wonky English 🙈

Had a wonderful short trip to one of my favourite cities Hamburg and the chance to wear my two newest cords 😍

Unfortunately I had some happy little accidents 😵‍💫

First I slammed my pinky finger so hard, I got a black nail now, very pretty and girly, then the rubber sole of my right shoe came off, but nothing a little double sided tape can't fix. But later in the evening the whole wooden plateau fell off 😂 luckily I still had the tape with me, so I still could walk to the bar we wanted to go and back to the hotel.

But I'm not mad, I had them for 14 years and I bring them to a clobber to let them fix

Sadly I had to wear other shoes for my second coord, but luckily it's more of a Punk Coord, so they still fit the vibe.

It was a really hot day, so I decided so not wear a blouse (rebellious I know), but the thing is, I'm lifting weights, my arms and shoulders are a little muscular, I would say.

Normally I hide them under a blouse, bolero etc

I decided to wear my hair that they fall to the front, so they hide a little bit

But I still had so take some funny Buff-Lolita (Buffita?) pics (last slide)

I hope you can get a good laugh out of them and if you want, please shame me, like in "good" old "Behind the Bows"-Times

First picture:

Skirt, Bolero and Headpiece: WireHead

Socks: Baby the stars shine bright

Brooch: Innocent World

Necklace: Vivienne Westwood

Shoes: Lolita Lola (Rest in Pieces)

Camisole: no name

Second Picture:

Skirt, Camisole and Headpiece: Distant Melody

Socks: Baby the stars shine bright

Purse, Necklace and Ring: Vivienne Westwood

Shoes: Current Mood

"oh wow I really need a name for this shape of silhouette" the humble first letter of the alphabet:

Jokes aside I really think this OP is more for a cupcake petti but I am working with what I've got (,; ⩌ ;,)

Just getting used to going out outside of comm meets ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜ As you may have noticed I feel so awkward taking pictures and video of myself but ever since I've started wearing EGL I feel finally comfortable in my own skin!! ❤️❤️
