Last time I posted here, I DIYed a black version of this fleece set for variety until I saved up and waited to afford the real thing in my most recent haul. I’m so happy to have such an amazing bow sweatshirt and sweatpants set just in time for fall! I just love when my clothes are designed by a woman, so Yua Mikami never fails to amaze me! 🩶🎀

I know this might not be the right subreddit to post, but growing up as a Chinese American, the children’s music I grew up were Chinese and Malaysian Chinese groups Four Golden Princess, Q-Genz, and M-Girls, all sorted into VCDs sold from Chinese speaking countries. However, I wanted to ask everyone about any thoughts on a music girl group concept idea based in the United States instead of China, Malaysia and so forth. We already have J-pop and K-pop as some examples and inspirations, but I wish C-pop is more popular here. My childhood with that kind of music is the reason I wish Mandarin children’s music performed by children should exist in America. So my idea was called “The Soda Dolls” (汽水娃娃) with four young female members of any amount of Chinese descent dressed as strawberry, lemon lime, blue raspberry, and grape soda flavors. They all mostly sing bilingual hits and dance along. I do not like using AI at all, but here is a visual concept of a few images what it is supposed to look like.
So last time I made a post, I bought a Ruby Red Galleria wig and glued it on the Corinne doll, but the baggy shirt dress is not the final outfit as I will sew a nicer dress as the next step. Here’s the pictures for fun and to show my progress!
So I bought a Corinne doll secondhand mainly for her face mold, but I am planning to customize her into a completely different character. I have currently removed the original wig, removed the face stain she came with, and repainted the lips to be a bit more rosy. Any guesses on her new hair color once my wig arrives? This is not the complete look as of yet. I will also accept any images of your custom Corinne dolls as inspiration.
So I was bored and needed something to do, except I happened to find a ribbon sweat set from one of my favorite brands and it was SOLD OUT!!! I was so sad and bought two cheap fleece sweatshirts and one pair of fleece sweatpants to alter into a similar design. Keep in mind it’s not perfect and I didn’t make this from scratch other than the design because I am a beginner. Anyways, I hope you like it!
