It’s a concept album about relationships, identity, and fear of abandonment.
It starts with “Why would you leave?” and ends with the same question — but after going through love, obsession, breakdown, therapy, and self-reflection.
Birds are a recurring symbol throughout the album (trust, connection, chaos).

Hello everyone. I've been a big fan of Been Stellar for a while and I’m currently trying to track down every early material from them, which appears to be either partially lost or extremely difficult to access online.
What I’m looking for:
- Self-released debut album
- Recorded DIY
- Not available on Spotify, Apple Music, or other major platforms
- No confirmed full uploads currently accessible
This seems to be their earliest known full project, but I have not been able to locate a complete version anywhere.
“Midwest Holiday”
I already found audio of a long lost singles like "Everyone Smokes In The City" and "JFK".
These songs are mentioned in discussions, at discogs.com, old Spotify pages (not available to play the song tho) and may have been available online at some point, but I haven’t found any working sources...
What I’ve already tried:
- YouTube (including deep searches and alternate spellings)
- Bandcamp (no active or archived page found)
- SoundCloud
- Reddit threads and discussions (no results found)
- Soulseek also didn't helped.
The album and tracks are not available on mainstream platforms
This leads me to believe the release is partially lost or at least extremely obscure.
I'm hoping to find a full or partial copy of Sells Out, any surviving tracks from it or single “Midwest Holiday”...
Since Been Stellar gained more recognition later, it’s possible their early material was removed or simply never preserved properly.
There’s a chance that early fans may still have local copies or the album existed briefly on platforms that are no longer active
If anyone has information, files, or even small leads, I’d really appreciate it.
